06/04/13: We love you, Uncle Jesse! May you rest in eternal peace! ♡♡♡

Today was our last time to say our 'goodbyes' to our Uncle Jesse! It started off with speeches from relatives, then lastly Ateh Jasmin, Natalia, and Donna. The speeches were so hard to hear but the #1 speech that broke me down the most was Ateh Jasmin's because it was so in depth and her words were so sincere and I really felt her soul being so in touch with Uncle Jesse that she really is her Pa's "Mini Me" :') After all the speeches we all went up to Uncle Jesse to see him one last time and to say our part one of our 'goodbye' (there was actually more to it at the 'shelter' in Miramar).

I was feeling the casket just as how I was holding Uncle Jesse's arm one last time in the ICU room and I seriously felt his presence with me. I'm gonna miss this lovable comedian of the family but he'll always be in the back of my mind, and never forgotten.

After seeing Uncle Jesse, we all went outside to wait for the funeral stickers we were going to be issued and also for the police escort to Miramar's National Cemetery. We killed time by taking pictures and talking :P

#1 man in my life, MY DAD! I definitely get my eyebrows from him if you can see hella simliarity hahaha... I love this dude ^__^

After taking a bajillion family pictures, we were issued directions by the police and got escorted by them! It was pretty cool feeling like first priority on the road and we were really 'rollin' deep' to Miramar in a line full of cars each with a "FUNERAL" sticker on the back! All for Uncle Jesse! :) When we got to the area, we went to the 'shelter' area; which is where they issue another prayer for Uncle Jesse and finally rest them to peace with a last goodbye and farewell by all his loved ones. It was awesome seeing the Navy do a Funeral honor for Uncle Jesse and we got to witness the gunshots and everything! It was pretty awesome, like how you'd see those funeral scenes in the movies, but it was just about 6 people in the Navy doing so.

I said my final see you soon to my Uncle Jesse and it was weird not seeing him get buried... felt very incomplete as a funeral. But with that, we all followed Ateh Jasmin and them to the Reception place where we all ate after for Uncle Jesse and there was hella food ahhh!! Haha again I was starving and since I was eating for Uncle Jesse and his resting I didn't feel as bad as I did before.

After grubbing and sitting down inside, majority of the family left and everyone started cleaning up and while I was playing candy crush, someone randomly handed me money and when I looked up, it was my Aunty Luz! I was in complete shock and after asking but seriously joking about the money with my Uncle Jesse, it was actually given to me.

My Aunty Luz told me, "Remember what your Uncle Jesse Said..? I'm only fulfilling his wishes" -- Because that's what he wanted, and she gave me $150 just like he said to me in the ICU... "Give Karen.. $150 for 3 years" haha. I remember his exact words and how he said it. He made the room light up with laughter and aw man, it makes me miss him. I couldn't be thankful enough for him and Aunty Luz for keeping his promise to me. It's just crazy how it actually happened to me. I'm honestly still in shock but nonetheless, I love you Aunty Luz and Uncle Jesse! Thank you for this promise :') After going home, I recollected my thoughts and how thankful I was to have another guardian angel up in Heaven with God to watch over me and all of us! So thankful for my grandpa, nicole, and now my Uncle Jesse to watch over me and guide me in life! ^__^ I love and miss you Uncle Jesse and I hope you got to meet my Grandpa up there, and Nicole too. Tell them I love them and I miss them both! :) This day seriously brought so much thought to me and I still have a lot to say but for now, I'll cut it short. May you rest in eternal peace Uncle Jesse, I'll be praying for my main Divinos to stay strong because I know they'll be able to get through it <3 Love you! Until then!

xoxo,
KJFA
